The Flop House Wiki

"First vampires, now werewolves—is there any monster they can't ruin by making it sexy? We discuss Twilight: New Moon."

Movie Summary[]

Edward leaves Bella after an attack that nearly claimed her life, and, in her depression, she falls into yet another difficult relationship–this time with her close friend, Jacob Black.

Bella Swan is on the cusp of her 18th birthday and blissfully happy with her undead beau Edward Cullen. While celebrating her birthday with Edward's family of 'vegetarian' vampires, a frightening incident convinces Edward that he's simply too dangerous to be around his sweetheart. He decides to leave the town of Forks in order to ensure her safety–leaving her behind, angry and depressed.

Episode Highlights[]

This episode is notable for finally exposing Dan's homophobia through a rant towards Taylor Launter and his cut-off shorts. However, he did also say that he had watched the first Twilight movie during his commute, after listening to Dan Savage's podcast, and wondered to himself, "When did I become gay?" So I guess he's a self-hating homophobe.

  • Dan and Elliott give brief imitations of cranky old men watching New Moon.
  • Also, Dan mentions his and Stuart's mutual friend Bill who had a funny imitation of Bela Lugosi.
