"On this episode we discuss Total Recall, a film that everyone begrudgingly acknowledged was a thing that existed."

OH BOY! Colin Farrell remade the fondly-remembered Schwartzenegger/Verhoven joint Total Recall! We're sure their "gritty" version will become the definitive one. Meanwhile, Stu imagines the majesty of a Sharon Stone-Michael Ironsides union, Dan confuses everyone with modern freezer mug technology, and Elliott tells us about his high-rolling Wallace Shawn lifestyle.

Completely unnecessary remake of the 1990 masterpiece.

Story[]

In need of a vacation from his ordinary life, factory worker Douglas Quaid visits Rekall, a company that can turn dreams into real memories. Thinking that memories of life as a superspy are just the ticket, Quaid undergoes the procedure–but it goes horribly wrong. Suddenly, Quaid is a hunted man. He teams up with a rebel fighter on a search to find the head of the underground resistance and take down the leader of the free world.

It would have been a better movie, had the Colin Farrell role gone to Wallace Shawn @21:00
